Dress for the Weather!

The weather is sooooo COLD!  Please make sure your child is prepared for the weather every day!  In case of an emergency and we need to evacuate the school, students need to have boots, snow pants, mitts, a hat and a warm jacket!

 Tomorrow is LIBRARY Day!  Don't forget your BLUE bag!

Hello Families,

Christmas Concert December 18th and Mayor'd Food Bank

The PM Kindergarten students will be participating in the Christmas Concert on Wednesday Dec 18th at 6:30 PM.

Students will be singing 2 songs; The Teddy Bear Twist and Play the Bells to Celebrate!

Students are encouraged to wear clean pajamas to school on the afternoon of December 18th for our Dress Rehearsal performance and then return in the evening in the same pajamas.  

Students will be asked to bring a medium sized "stuffy" to school on Monday, December 16th and leave it at school for the week to practice and for the performance!  

Coventry Hills School is collecting non-perishable food for the Mayor's Food Drive.  If you are able to donate, please send the items to school with your child and they will take them to the donation boxes!

The Greedy Tridangle

Today we watched some of The Greedy Triangle!  

We are learning about the characteristics of 2D shapes!  

We are learning that the shapes have different sides and corners

The Color Monster and Fire Alarm

We had an unplanned fire alarm today!  

Students went outside quickly and quietly and we even saw the Fire Department come!

No School Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Hello Families,

Please remember there is NO school Wednesday, Thursday and Friday!

Thank you for taking the time to sign up for Parent Teacher Conferences. 

 

On Wednesday, our grades 1-3 students are in school, so please come to the main office before you come to our classroom (Room 13) for your interview.  If I am with another family, please wait in the hall outside of our classroom.  

If your interview time is on Thursday, please come through the main doors and come to the classroom and wait for your assigned interview time.

Students are welcome to join the interview process.

Starting at 6:00PM, you can sign up for a time that is best for your family.

Parent Teacher Conferences and PM Kinder Tomomorrow

Tomorrow is PM Kinder!  

We will be going outside to play with our buddies...so please send a jacket and boots!

No School for Kindergarten next Wednesday and Thursday because of Parent Teacher Conferences!

On Wednesday, November 20th and Thursday, November 21st we will be having our first set of Parent Teacher Conferences.  You will be able to book a 15 minute time slot with me to discuss the Early Years Evaluation as well as how your child is doing!

Starting on Friday at 6:00PM, you can sign up for a time that is best for your family.

World Kindness Day

Did you know today was World Kindness Day?

We Read the story What does it mean to be Kind? and we drew pictures of us showing kindness or other people being kind to us!  Ask me what I think kindness means?

Tomorrow is Library Day!

The Color Monster

In Kindergarten we have BIG feelings!  

We have been using the Color Monster story to help us understand our feelings!  

We have learned that it is okay to feel afraid, sad, angry, calm or happy at school!  

We are learning how to share how we feel with our words instead of our hands!  

Today, we drew our practice MONSTER on the whiteboards!

Tomorrow we are PAINTING our Color Monster!  Be ready to be MESSY Monsters!

Juice and Remembrance Day

Students are NOT finishing their juice boxes!  I am squeezing out 4-5 full juice boxes each day!

Please send a water bottle instead!
