The CHS “Coventry Cares Club” is asking students and families to support our latest initiative “Koalas & Kangas” by bringing a loonie or a toonie to school between
January 20th and March 19th, 2020.
Today we started learning about Koalas in Australia.
We learned that Koalas Bears;
- are not actually bears
- they are marsupials (a mammal that carries their young in a pouch on the mother's belly)
- they sleep 18 hours a day
- they spend MOST of their day in trees and
- they eat eucalyptus
Today we did a guided drawing of a Koala
